A few days ago in GT, we began working with the Hour of CODE program and completed two of several lessons offered. For most people in my class, it was their first time working with Hour of CODE but a few classmates and I did it a few years before. Of course those classmates were people that had gone to my previous school with me. Anyways, I think it was about one or two years ago that our computer teacher introduced us to coding. Though we have done two lessons here at Kapa'a Middle School, we only did the first lesson at my old school. When we first got started on the Code lesson last year, I found it really easy and continued thinking that through out the 20 levels of the first lesson. A few times I had to actually use my body to help me (I'm a hands on/auditory learner) like I was in the game and I had to turn or move a certain way. Anywho, I found Hour of CODE pretty easy.
If I could design any program or game, it would be a program where you can play games to earn free credit on iTunes or whatever game/music seller you have. It would be completely free, and every time you got a higher score than, say, one of your friends on Game Center, then you earned one dollar worth of iTunes credit to buy games or music. That way, you don't have to waste money on iTunes cards that get thrown away right after you redeem it. I would try to get some certified people to supervise the gaming and the additions to the winners account. It would save the manufacturing of gift cards and it makes it fun and easy to get music and games! Win win! Alrighty, well bye bye for now and I'll see you soon!
